Zoom - Phone - Record or Change Your Voicemail Greeting
Your voicemail greeting is what callers hear when you don't answer your phone.
Change Your Greeting
- Sign in to the Zoom Web Portal at https://zoom.us/signin using your YMCA Google account.
- In the left menu, select Phone under Personal.
- Click the Settings tab.
- Scroll to the Call Handling section.
- Under Greeting & Leave voicemail instruction, click Edit to add a new greeting.
Add Audio
- Text-to-Speech to have Zoom generate a greeting.
- Upload a pre-recorded audio file.
- Record by computer to record through your computer microphone
- Save your greeting, click "Add," and select it as your active voicemail greeting.
Tips
- Keep your greeting professional and concise (20–30 seconds is ideal).
- State your name and ask callers to leave their name, number, and a brief message.
- Listen to your greeting after saving it to ensure it sounds clear.
Sample Greeting
"Hello, you've reached [Your Name] at the YMCA of the North Shore. I'm unable to take your call right now. Please leave your name, phone number, and a brief message, and I'll return your call as soon as possible. Thank you."
